Boost up your internet connection
Posted by Dunn on March 24, 2008 – 10:41 pm -Is your internet connection so slow enough for you to throw your computer out of the window? If it does, try install Toonel. I’ve been using it couple of days already and I admit it really works. When the time my internet connection was really slow, I used Toonel right away and you can tell the difference instantly.
Toonel is a technique for conversing network bandwidth. It exploits a tunneling technique combined with data compression, runs compressed data frames from toonel client to one of the toonel servers and then these are forwarded to the target host, reducing the size of resources that are transferred between the server and the client makes more efficient use of the user’s bandwidth. It’s 100% Java based, therefore this service can be used on any platform with an installed Java Runtime Environment, including mobile phones.
It’s very recommended for those who are paying a fee based on the amount of data transfer (e.g. 3G/GPRS/DSL/CDMA) and have monthly download limit, or those who have narrowband connection (e.g. dialup modem). So if you can finish whatever you’re doing faster, that mean you had saved the time and cost for the internet connection.
Using Toonel is very easy. All you have to do is download the Toonel software that suit with your platform and set the proxy configuration of your browser to 127.0.0.1 port 8080.
