The Best Hosting Company
![]() |
If any of you aware, last holiday my other site My Interesting Files was down for more than a week due to error. I don’t remember how it was started, all I remember that I was panic, trying to solve the problem by myself with my limited knowledge, ended up totally a mess, and I had to restore the WordPress.
After the WordPress restored, all my previous posts was gone. Been searching for solution, found nothing. Been asking around who I think have knowledge about it but nobody can help. My last hope was my hosting company, DreamHost. Contacted them via live chat, been served by Shaun. We’ve been chatting for 3 hours, trying to resolved the problem. But still it didn’t bring back my previous posts. Can you imagine how I felt, thinking all my 3 years blogging was vanished just like that?
The last suggestion from Shaun was to submit ticket to the DreamHost, hoping one of the staff there can solve the problem. I did. And about 3 hours later I received an email saying my posts had been restored, thank’s to Justin. I was so happy about it. And following some small errors that I found later on, I email them again, and they helped me fix them again.
So my point is, that the DreamHost team had been patiently helped me sort all the problems, which I didn’t get it in my previous hosting company. (You can check out my past experienced with my previous hosting company from here and here). This makes me feel save, that I’m not alone, that there always be someone who will always there to help me sort my problems.
This post was not meant to be an advertisement. It’s my appreciation and my gratitude to DreamHost team. Thank you so much, you guys rock..!
So if you are not satisfied with your current hosting company, or find it hard to find someone to help you sort your website problem, come join me in DreamHost and prove it yourself. You can use my refferal link if you want.

I’ve heard a lot of good things about Dreamhost. Never used them myself, but would definitely encourage using it based on the feedback that I’ve seen!

I think all hosts have bad experiences. Mine has a habit of “protecting” my security by locking me out when i’m doing a lot of work on the site. It took me a lot of downtime to get them to whitelist my IP… i mean after all it isn’t silly to expect that i might want to do a lot of transactions at one particular time? I’ve had a few DDOS attack issues too…

I had a similar incident with my blog a couple years ago, only I was using Host Gator. They also offer excellent customer service, and live chat 24/7. They were able to solve my problem after about an hour and a half, and I was very satisfied. Sounds like DreamHost is about at Host Gator’s level, so I’d say you picked a good one!

I never had an experienced in hosting websites because I am using blogspot blogs. I’ve heard about Dreamhost somewhere on the internet but I think most people prefer to host their blogs on GoDaddy I guess.
