Help Firefox to Set a Guinness World Record


Mozilla Firefox wants to set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloaded in 24 hours. So they’re calling the world to help them by downloading Firefox 3 during Download Day 2008. The release date is still unknown. But by pledging you will sign up to receive email notification for its release.

  5. I’m already using the newest beta of firefox, it’s pretty good! My only problem right now is compatability with the various extensions I had installed. 3.0 doesn’t work to friendly with most of them os of yet. :neutral:

  6. I like to use Opera as well as Firefox. I find IE to buggy/picky and most of all too slow.
    Cant wait for FF3 heard nothing but great reviews as far as system resource usage goes.

  7. I have no problems helping Firefox set a Guinness Record as I am satisfied with their system so far.

    It is more secure than Internet Explorer in terms of pop-up control and accessing phishing sites. If the new version can be much faster, all the better.

  9. That is the coolest marketing idea/publicity stunt ever. Well almost as cool as their contest to see who could hand a firfox logo in the most visible place. I’m in Firefox is cool.

  10. It will be great if the new version is faster. I much prefer Firefox over IE. I for one think Firefox is faster than the phishing filter on IE — that always seems so slow specially if you clear your cache often.
