Stick It In Your Desktop
Posted by Dunn on May 23, 2008 – 12:55 pm -
Are you a Stick It user, who sticked notes on your monitor screen? I know it helps you a lot to remind you the important things. But don’t you think it kinda makes your monitor messy, and sticky after you take the note off the monitor? There is another option that work the same way. The different is that the note is stick inside your monitor.
StickIt is a Windows desktop sticky note application. You can create notes and place them anywhere on your desktop. They will stay where you leave them until they have been closed. You can edit them whenever you want. You can customize them from a wide range of text and background colors.
The other feature that I like is that if you have friends that are a StickIt user and also on the same network with you, you can create notes on their desktops by sending them notes. But it requires both of you have properly opened port 1978 for UDP access.

Posted by Dunn on May 8, 2008 – 7:57 pm -Yesterday, while I was doing my daily routine dropping EntreCards, I found this video in Jim’s Secret Thoughts.
It’s a song titled ‘Tell Me Why’ sang by Declan Galbraith. This kid has an amazing voice. I’m sure he would be like Josh Groban when he grown up. Check it out..

SiteHoppin
Posted by Dunn on May 6, 2008 – 3:02 pm -
If you are an EntreCard member, you should try SiteHoppin. With SiteHoppin, you can drop your card faster. From my experienced, using SiteHoppin I had dropped cards twice the previous amount. It’s easier, faster and much more practical. You can go from one EntreCard website to another with only one click. All you have to do is change the tag to EntreCard, choose the category that you want or just choose shuffle for random blog view, then press the ‘Tag Hop’ button. And to jump to another site, you just press the ‘Site Hoppin’ button on the upper left side.
SiteHoppin is a Web 2.5 social networking service that allows you to find, bookmark and share interesting sites by hopping from site to site instead of typing. It’s also one stop for your site traffic. It uses Beer Credits to bring traffic to your site. For every 10 beer credits you earned, you will get 1 unique visitor to your site.
- Hope to a new site, you earn 1 beer credit.
- Rate a site, you earn 5 beer credits.
- Tag a site, you earn 20 beer credits.
- Submit one new site, you earn 30 beer credits.
- 1 click from your site to SiteHoppin through the Beer Widget, you earn 50 beer credits.
You can use beer credits to get free traffic to your site or sell them to advertiser later for cash. And SiteHoppin had released Beer Stocks, web pages that allow you to buy a shared precentage of their total web traffic. You buy a keyword/page, link it to your site and gain traffic through the SiteHoppin browser. Each beer stock gets 33% of their total web traffic divided by number of Beer Stock pages. Eg, if they get 100,000 unique visitors per day and there were 100 Beer Stocks bought, each Beer Share gets 100,000/3/100 = 333 unique visitor per day.

The current price for the Beer Stocks are $10 for each vowels (a,i,u,e,o) and $1 for each consonants. So for example if you choose the keyword beer, the price would be $22. Basically when you buy Beer Stocks, you become co-owners of shared web traffic received by SiteHoppin. These Beer Stocks will increase in value along with the traffic growth. It can be sold anytime at any price you set in Beer Stock Market or elsewhere.
So if you haven’t sign up for SiteHoppin, create your account today. And if you want to be part of the SiteHoppin shared web traffic receivers, get your own Beer Stocks with 25% discount by clicking this button below :

WordPress 2.5 Image Uploading Error
Posted by Dunn on May 4, 2008 – 9:44 pm -
Upon upgrading to WordPress 2.5, there was one error that I had to deal with. I found error everytime I wanted to upload image to the post, so in the mean time, I had to upload the image via control panel.
I searched to find the solution for this, and I found it in WordPress Forum posted by cjane :
I added this code into my .htaccess
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>.. it seems to make my image uploading/insert to post work now.
And yes, mine is also working now. I can upload images from WordPress as usual. Thank’s cjane!
I also want to thank Eddy from Magpies Zone who’s also trying to help me with this issue. Thank’s dude, you rock!
